How much cash will I get from my home?

Accepted Answer

Whatever your home is worth, minus what you owe, a 6% Sell2Rent fee (or a minimum of $15,000) and closing costs. That is your number. Say your home is worth $300K and you owe $150K. That leaves roughly $150K in equity. Minus the 6% fee and approximately 2% closing costs, you end up with about $126K in cash. Your state page shows the average equity where you live.
